This role focuses on translating engineering concepts into production-ready drawings, managing revisions, and ensuring accurate design documentation. Key Responsibilities + Create and modify 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks + Develop fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings + Update existing designs based on redlines, engineering feedback, and project changes + Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure alignment with ERP systems + Manage design files, revisions, and documentation within PDM or PLM systems + Collaborate with engineers to convert concepts into manufacturable designs + Incorporate feedback from manufacturing, quality, and field teams + Ensure drawings meet internal standards and are production-ready + Support configure-to-order projects by adapting designs to customer needs Required Qualifications + 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or drafting + Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software + Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings + Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications + Understanding of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, sheet metal, and assemblies Preferred Qualifications + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field + Experience in automation, material handling, or equipment design + Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management + Experience with PDM/PLM systems and revision control + Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles Work Environment + On-site, office-based role in Maryland Heights, MO + Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM + Collaborative team environment with team members Apply Today If you're looking to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge automation systems, work alongside a skilled engineering team, and grow your mechanical design career—this is the opportunity for you.
