Job Description

Duke Manufacturing Company is looking for a Mechanical Design Technician to join our Engineering team at our Sedalia, Missouri location! Job Summary The Mechanical Design Technician supports the modification and extension of existing product designs under close supervision. This entry-level position focuses on producing accurate drawings, managing documentation within SolidWorks and EPICOR, and learning the company's engineering processes. The role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to standards, and continuous learning in product design and manufacturing documentation. Job Duties & Responsibilities As a Mechanical Design Technician , you will: Perform basic design and documentation tasks under supervision, translating provided specifications into accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. Follow established workflows to manage parts, assemblies, and drawings within EPDM and EPICOR. Verify design completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Duke standards and applicable UL/NSF requirements. Identify and report minor documentation or design issues; recommend small, incremental workflow improvements. Collaborate with team members to support smooth execution of design and manufacturing documentation tasks. Learn and apply company engineering principles, standards, and ERP processes. Maintain organized and accurate project files , BOMs, and documentation.
Education:
A.A.S. in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field Job Location Sedalia, MO (Full-time) Mondays to Fridays 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm Duke is an equal opportunity employer.
