We are looking for motivated, energetic people to join our dynamic Team! Position Summary The Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing accurate CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation that support HYDAC products and system solutions. This role focuses on design execution, documentation quality, and adherence to engineering standards while supporting engineers, manufacturing, vendors, and quality teams throughout the product lifecycle. You will make an impact and be successful in this role with the following skills and responsibilities: Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities Design & Documentation Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and layouts in SolidWorks. Produce detailed parts and assembly drawings in compliance with HYDAC drafting standards. Define materials, special drawing notes, tolerances, and revision information. Create service kit drawings and top-level drawing packages. Manage assembly constraints and interfaces within CAD models. Maintain engineering drawing files and libraries. Engineering Support Support tolerance stack-ups, hardware selection, and basic engineering analysis. Assist with PPAP documentation and production readiness activities. Support DFMEA and design review preparation as required. Participate in peer reviews and act as a checker for assigned designs. Change Management & Configuration Control Support ECN/ECR creation, documentation, and implementation. Pull part numbers and apply correct naming conventions. Populate and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) on drawings and in SAP. Track project parts using part tracking sheets. Vendor & Manufacturing Collaboration Exchange CAD data with vendors and verify model accuracy. Load vendor CAD models into SAP per established procedures. Support prototype builds and manufacturability reviews. Work with manufacturing and quality teams on work instructions and procedures. Administrative & Process Track engineering time using the engineering time tracking system. Follow established engineering processes and stage-gate requirements.
