Technical Assistant - Manufacturing / Engineering Support Position Overview
NOW HIRING
a detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support engineering and production. This role is ideal for someone with foundational engineering education and hands-on technical aptitude who is eager to grow in a manufacturing environment. You will assist with part ordering, machining coordination, and technical documentation , helping ensure efficient operations across projects. Key Responsibilities Assist with ordering parts and materials , ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding specifications and timelines Support machining and fabrication activities , including tracking work orders and assisting with shop processes Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents Assist in creating and modifying drawings using AutoCAD Maintain accurate records of parts, orders, and project progress Provide general technical and administrative support to engineers and production staff Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of engineering-related coursework (Industrial Technology, Mechanical, or similar field) Experience with AutoCAD (coursework or practical use required) Pursuing or completed degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read technical drawings and understand basic machining concepts Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools Preferred Skills Exposure to machining, fabrication, or manufacturing environments Familiarity with inventory, purchasing, or supply chain processes Basic understanding of materials, tooling, and mechanical components
Pay:
Up to $75,000.00 per year
