  • Full-time Job description: Project BIM Coordinator
  • Woodbridge Required experience: BIM coordination 3-5 years
Coordinator/ Drafting Position Details :
The Drafting Coordinator will report to and work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. In addition to performing senior-level drafting, this role will include responsibility for department workload management, delegation, and project timelines. Creating workflow efficiencies, identifying department staff strengths, and training junior drafters will also be within the roles mandate.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assign projects to the drafting team. Ensure that workload is distributed appropriately and projects are completed in a timely, accurate manner
  • Perform senior-level drafting
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the drafting department
  • Participate in weekly crew calls and office operations conference calls
  • Work with Office Manager to hire new drafting talent and conduct performance reviews with existing employees
  • Identify internal process improvements to create department efficiencies and cost reductions
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary training in CADD drafting technology or EDDT
  • A minimum of 5 years survey drafting experience
  • Sound CADD application skills.
Competencies:
  • Ability to delegate and recognize employee strengths in drafting abilities
  • Thorough understanding of survey plan requirements
  • Superior communication skills both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Has earned respect from office management, Land Surveyors and other employees
  • Possesses the drive to provide timely and quality service to clientele.

  • Examine Drawings for Conformity and Errors
  • Prepare Engineering Designs and Drawings
  • Survey Drafting
