  $100,000-$125,000/yr DOE
• Responsibilities
• + Create detailed technical drawings, and schematics based on specifications provided by engineering.

+ Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks) to produce accurate and precise drawings. + Revise drawings based on feedback from engineering and manufacturing. Ensure all changes are incorporated accurately. + Use best judgement to solve complex design problems. + Create designs which consider cost, simplicity, and production feasibility. + Provide recommendations for material selection. + Assist in cost and direct labor estimates as required. + Work closely with engineering and project management to understand requirements and objectives. + Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity and accuracy in the design process. + Attend project meetings to provide input and updates on design progress. + Foster a positive work environment by maintaining professional courteous conduct and communication with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendor. + Ensure all drawings comply with military, commercial, and international industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements. + Conduct quality checks on drawings produced by junior drafters, peer designers and engineering, to ensure accuracy and completeness. + Develop and maintain drafting standards and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency. + Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documents. + Ensure all files are properly stored and accessible for future reference. + Stay updated with the latest developments in CAD software and drafting techniques. + Propose and implement improvements to drafting processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.

• Qualifications
• + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 6 years prior experience or Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years prior experience. + Proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor. Siemens PADS and CAM 350 a plus. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
