Programmer (CAD/CAM - Stone Fabrication)

Sims-Lohman Are you a detail-oriented CAD/CAM professional with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? Join Sims-Lohman, a leader in custom countertop fabrication and installation, as a Programmer. We're looking for motivated individuals to support our operations by transforming digital templates into cutting programs that drive our production of high-quality stone products.
What You'll Do:
Convert LT55 laser camera templates into production-ready drawings using AlphaCAM. Review job orders in Moraware for completeness and coordinate with account managers or techs to gather missing information. Generate final CAD drawings, PDFs, and CNC cut programs for shop production. Ensure accurate placement of seam locations, sink and cooktop cutouts, and backsplash details. Upload finalized documents to internal systems (Moraware and Dropbox).
What You Bring:
1+ years of experience with AlphaCAM or AutoCAD in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, and business IT systems. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. A collaborative mindset and the ability to coordinate with production and technical teams.
Work Environment:
Office, warehouse, and fabrication shop settings. Occasional exposure to loud noise and varied temperatures. No travel required. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Operations Manager, offering a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team focused on quality and customer satisfaction.
