Job Description

Piping Design Lead responsible for providing technical leadership for piping design execution across complex industrial projects while supporting scope, schedule, budget, and model-based deliverables. Job Requirements Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline 12-15+ years of piping engineering and/or design experience in complex industrial environments Minimum 3+ years of proven technical leadership experience Experience in industrial environments such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, or similar industries Proven ability to manage or support scope, schedule, and budget considerations on multi-discipline industrial projects Advanced working knowledge of piping codes and standards including ASME, B31.3, and related industry codes Strong working knowledge of 3D piping design platforms such as CADWorx Plant or Autodesk Revit Ability to review, assess, and guide model-based piping design deliverables Demonstrated understanding of constructability principles related to piping layout and design execution Demonstrated understanding of safety requirements related to piping design Demonstrated understanding of cost control principles related to piping layout and execution Experience coordinating piping design activities across disciplines Preferred Skills Experience serving as technical authority on complex industrial projects Experience reviewing and guiding 3D model development for piping systems Experience supporting multidisciplinary project execution Experience evaluating constructability and installation impacts during design Experience supporting project planning and execution across multiple deliverables Job Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for piping engineering and design activities Lead piping design execution on complex industrial projects Support project scope, schedule, and budget objectives Review and guide piping layouts and model-based design deliverables Apply ASME, B31.3, and related codes and standards to piping design work Coordinate piping design interfaces with other engineering disciplines Support constructability, safety, and cost control objectives through design decisions Review design deliverables for compliance with project and industry requirements Guide project teams in the use of 3D piping design platforms including CADWorx Plant or Autodesk Revit Support design quality, consistency, and execution across multi-discipline industrial projects
