Job Description
Mechanical drafting role focused on AutoCAD drawings, 3D modeling, circuit breaker documentation, drawing package review, and engineering file management. Job Requirements Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Drafting, 3D Modeling, or Mechanical Design 1+ year of experience with mechanical CAD software AutoCAD experience Experience with SolidWorks, Pro-E / CREO, UG, or similar CAD software Experience generating mechanical drawings Experience modifying mechanical drawings Experience reviewing mechanical and electrical drawing packages Experience working with document management systems Preferred Skills ProEngineer or CREO experience 3D modeling experience Experience with circuit breaker products Experience preparing approval drawing packages Experience preparing as-built drawing packages Experience preparing customer submittal documentation Experience with CAD file conversions Experience maintaining engineering drawing files Experience supporting production, industrialization, sourcing, or quality departments Job Responsibilities Create mechanical drawings using current-generation AutoCAD software Generate, modify, and organize general arrangement drawings Generate, modify, and organize physical outline drawings for customer approval and manufacturing Perform CAD file conversions as needed Use ProEngineer to generate 3D models for customer circuit breakers upon request Review mechanical and electrical drawing packages for technical and typographical errors Prepare approval and as-built drawing packages Prepare CT curves and test reports for customer submittal Manage and maintain circuit breaker engineering drawing files in the document management system Prepare device tag files for procurement planning Update order tracking records with accurate data Follow factory specifications and applicable national and international standards Support production, industrialization, sourcing, and quality departments as required
