Drafter Job Description We are seeking a Designer/Drafter to join our team and contribute to a consulting engineering firm that specializes in engineering and construction management services for the bulk material handling industry. Responsibilities Responsible for 2D mechanical design within industrial plants to integrate new material handling systems, ensuring these systems are seamlessly integrated into both existing and new structures. Facilitate communication with vendors, manage equipment purchases, and coordinate with contractors. Occasionally conduct field visits to observe construction progress (1-2 times per year). Support customer-facing communications to ensure client satisfaction and project success. Essential Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks. Experience in industrial design, particularly with large industrial systems, conveyor systems, and material handling systems. Familiarity with MicroStation is preferred but not required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field is preferred, though a minimum of a High School Diploma with relevant experience is acceptable. 1-5 years of experience in drafting/designing. Work Environment This position is primarily on-site with the potential to adopt a hybrid work schedule a couple of days a week after full training. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00 AM to 4:00/4:30 PM, with flexible start times once fully trained. The office environment is small and family-like, with all departments collaborating across a range of age groups. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Powell, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
