Job Description

Job Title:
Piping Designer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Piping Designer to work on a variety of projects primarily within the industrial and advanced facility sectors. This role emphasizes structural pipe support and requires the design of mechanical and process systems, ranging from simple to complex. Projects may include semiconductor manufacturing plant design, tool installation design, facility wet side process piping, exhaust systems, and hydronic systems. Responsibilities Design and develop complex piping systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with design team members across mechanical and other disciplines. Utilize AutoCAD and REVIT to create detailed piping layouts, isometrics, and construction drawings. Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for advanced facilities, incorporating equipment, piping, instrumentation, and control systems. Travel to off-site locations or accept client site assignments as needed. Essential Skills Strong experience in designing structural pipe supports within advanced facilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT. Ability to create and update P&IDs. Knowledge of industry codes and standards. Experience in piping design for industrial and advanced facility construction projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CADWorx, Plant 3D, SmartPlant, or PDMS is a plus. Encouragement to obtain professional licensure in engineering. Occasional local travel for site walk downs and client meetings. Work Environment The role involves working on multiple projects in heavy industrial, high-tech, semiconductor, and commercial sectors. The position is based in the Beaverton office, with the possibility of hybrid or remote work depending on experience. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
