Job Description

Job Title:
Process Piping Designer Job Description The role involves developing piping system layouts, including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in-line components from sketches, catalog cut sheets, and P&ID's provided by engineers and expereinced design staff, in accordance with any BIM requirements. You will coordinate modeling and drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project level, provide clash detection reporting using Autodesk Navisworks, and generate model interrogation data reports such as quantities and parts lists. Quality checking of drafted products and ensuring conformance with modeling and drawing production standards, including project-specific CAD/BIM requirements, is a key aspect of this role. You will produce engineering documents and related material with minimal direction and supervision, and provide basic CAD/BIM technical support for junior-level staff. Responsibilities Develop piping system layouts in accordance with BIM requirements. Coordinate modeling and drawing production activities at the project level. Provide clash detection reporting using Autodesk Navisworks. Generate model interrogation data reports, including quantities and parts lists. Ensure quality checking of drafted products and conformance to modeling and drawing standards. Produce engineering documents and related material with minimal supervision. Provide basic CAD/BIM technical support for junior staff. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Process Piping Design. Experience with process piping design and piping systems. Proficient in Navisworks with ability for clash detection. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with water/wastewater on municipal, industrial, or commercial projects. Good tenure with a minimum of 3 years at each job. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with materials such as steel, stainless steel, PVC pipe, and ductal iron. Ability to route piping of all sizes and work off pre-established families. Work Environment The position is based in a 2nd floor office space in Phoenix, offering a hybrid work environment. Employees work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with minimal overtime required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
