Located in Allen, TX, we pride ourselves on safety, craftsmanship, and tailored solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise piping layouts, system designs, and technical drawings that support our construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure the successful execution of complex piping systems while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Duties Develop detailed piping layouts and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings aligned with project specifications. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure proper fit and function of piping components. Review and interpret system design documents, including schematics and mechanical drawings, to produce comprehensive piping designs. Incorporate ASME codes & standards into all piping design work to maintain compliance with industry regulations. Assist in creating 3D models using NavisWorks and other visualization tools for project coordination and clash detection. Support technical writing efforts for design documentation, reports, and construction procedures. Experience Proven experience as a Piping Designer or Mechanical Designer within the construction or industrial sectors. Strong proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER. Familiarity with piping system design, schematics, assembly drawings, and system integration. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to piping and mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering background with understanding of FEA (Finite Element Analysis), system design, and mechanical components. Experience working on construction projects involving technical drafting, 2D animation for presentations, or technical writing is a plus. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
