Job Title:
Drafter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Drafter to create and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings for valve-related components and assemblies. In this role, you will develop and document mechanical hardware components that connect valve and actuator systems. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure accurate and manufacturable designs, and support troubleshooting and design improvements for existing products. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with quality control documentation, drawing updates, and maintaining drawing standards with proper version control. Responsibilities Create and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings for valve-related components and assemblies. Develop and document mechanical hardware components that connect valve and actuator systems. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure accurate and manufacturable designs. Support troubleshooting and design improvements for existing products. Assist with quality control documentation and drawing updates. Maintain drawing standards and ensure proper version control. Essential Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required). 0-1 year of experience in drafting. Associate degree in AutoCAD or Certification in AutoCAD. Experience drafting mechanical components, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks. Adaptability and eagerness to grow within a developing in-house engineering function. Work Environment This position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Missouri City, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
