The ideal candidate will possess strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of construction documents, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers to meet project schedules and client expectations. Position Responsibilities Prepare structural construction documents for residential and light commercial projects using AutoCAD. Assist structural engineers with drafting related to framing plans, foundation plans, structural details, and revisions. Interpret architectural and structural plans as they relate to framing and foundation systems. Coordinate with engineering staff in a collaborative team environment to meet project deadlines. Perform occasional field inspections and site visits as needed to support engineering staff. Maintain organized project files and adhere to company drafting standards. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate degree or technical drafting certification preferred. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Basic understanding of residential and light commercial structural systems and construction methods. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support project needs. Valid Texas Driver License required. Compensation and Benefits Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. Health insurance benefits.
