Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for heat exchangers and related mechanical equipment. This role will work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient drafting support for manufacturing and customer projects. Responsibilities Create detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and fabrication packages for heat exchangers and related equipment Proficent in taking field/shop measurements to create detailed components sketches for quoting/fabricating Develop and revise 2DCAD models based on engineering specifications & markups Interpret customer specifications, engineering sketches, and technical requirements Prepare BOMs (Bills of Materials) and fabrication drawing packages Coordinate with engineers, shop personnel, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability Maintain drawing revisions and document control procedures Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and industry codes Support production and field teams with drawing updates and technical clarifications as needed Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of mechanical drafting experience Experience drafting heat exchangers, pressure vessels, or similar process equipment preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering specifications and technical documents Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes Experience working in an industrial, refinery, or petrochemical environment is a plus Preferred Skills General understanding of ASME codes and industry standards Experience creating fabrication drawings for weldments and assemblies Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team-oriented environment Schedule Full-time Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Apply Today If you are a motivated Mechanical Drafter with heat exchanger experience and a strong technical background, we would love to hear from you.
