• 10 hour shifts (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM), with the possibility of overtime on Fridays or longer shifts as needed.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, an understanding of AutoCAD, and proficiency in Excel. The primary focus of the role will be assisting with the drafting process, interpreting specifications, and performing detailed calculations while working within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Drafting & CAD Work:

Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD. Assist in the preparation of detailed mechanical designs, primarily for fabrication and manufacturing. Use Spoolgen and Spoolfab for specific drafting and design tasks. Read, interpret, and apply customer specifications and codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Excel-based Work:

Utilize Excel to organize, analyze, and manage data. Perform tasks involving VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic mathematical calculations. Apply knowledge of geometry and tribometry to support drafting and calculations.

Problem Solving & Communication:

Actively participate in solving problems and troubleshooting as they arise in the drafting and design process. Communicate effectively with the team, customers, and management to clarify requirements, specifications, and updates.

Work Environment:

Adapt to a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines. Work under pressure to meet project requirements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a fun and collaborative workplace.

Training & Development:

Learn to understand and apply ASME codes (training will be provided). Expand knowledge of drafting software and industry standards under the guidance of experienced team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Mechanical Aptitude:

Ability to work with and understand mechanical systems, such as fixing cars or machinery.

Software Proficiency:

Experience with AutoCAD 3D and 2D for drafting purposes. Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic math skills. Knowledge of Spoolgen and Spoolfab is a plus (training available). Revit or BIM knowledge is a plus but not required.

Other Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team. Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and specifications.
