The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and be proficient with Solidworks. This role involves designing parts and equipment using Soldiworks 3D CAD software. The The Mechanical Designer will play a crucial role in the development of solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. Duties Design parts and assemblies using Soldiworks Prepares technical drawings using Solidworks Prepares accurate manufacturing drawings using Solidworks Oversees the execution of assigned projects Evaluate and select purchased components for proper application, cost effectiveness, lead time Prepare parts descriptions for purchase and identification purposes Assist with equipment troubleshooting Manage projects with assistance of Design Lead Perform additional duties as requested and assigned Experience Experience in CAD software is essential; proficiency with Solidworks is required. Experience with all Microsoft Office Software Experience using measuring tools: tape measures, dial calipers, protractors, micrometers Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world applications. Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and methodologies. Previous experience in a metal fabrication environment is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively while managing time effectively.
