Full-Time About Us Sheboygan Glass & Glazing is a leading commercial glazing contractor focused on precision, quality, and continuous improvement. We take pride in delivering high-performance building envelope systems while embracing modern technology and efficient workflows. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team. This role is critical in producing accurate shop drawings and coordinating closely with Project Managers, fabrication teams, and field crews. The ideal candidate understands that drafting is more than drawing—it's about constructability, coordination, and execution . Key Responsibilities Create detailed shop drawings for: Aluminum storefront systems Curtain wall systems (stick-built & unitized) Interior glass systems and entrances Door and hardware layouts Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals Coordinate drawings with Project Managers and field conditions Communicate with the shop regarding fabrication requirements and CNC programming Revise drawings based on RFIs, field measurements, and engineering feedback Ensure all drawings are complete, accurate, and buildable Maintain organized drawing files and revision logs Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Experience with commercial glazing systems strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret: Architectural plans Shop drawings Specifications Strong understanding of: Aluminum framing systems Glass types and applications Door and hardware integration Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Preferred Experience 2+ years of CAD drafting experience (construction or glazing industry preferred) Experience with: Curtain wall systems Storefront systems Hardware detailing Familiarity with CNC programming or shop fabrication workflows Experience coordinating with field measurements and "as-built" conditions Key Competencies Problem-solving mindset (not just drafting— thinking through installation ) Strong communication with PMs, shop, and field teams Accountability and follow-through Continuous improvement mentality What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Opportunities for growth and advancement Stable, long-term employment Team-oriented work environment Exposure to high-profile commercial projectsNote:
