Description XO Armor is a fast-growing med-tech company revolutionizing clinical delivery of medical devices using advanced 3D scanning, software automation, and 3D printing. We operate lean and move fast. As a Product Development Engineer, you will bridge the gap between mechanical engineering, software engineering, and manufacturing. You will take product concepts from a request to a fully functional 3D product using automated digital workflows. Conduct market research and define engineering requirements that exceed industry benchmarks.
Workflow Automation :
Leverage AI and 3D modeling to build automated digital workflows for custom-fit devices.
Software Prototyping :
Drive a clean, modern UI vision by prototyping interfaces and translating them into formal user stories for the software team.
Cross-Functional Integration :
Collaborate closely with software engineering to test, refine, and integrate workflows into the core platform.
Manufacturing Optimization :
Oversee and optimize FDM 3D printing processes including material testing and machine calibration to ensure flawless physical production.
Technical Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a closely related field. 1 to 2 years of full-time post-grad experience. Exceptional, highly mature recent graduates with strong project portfolios will also be considered. Strong foundation in 3D modeling, parametric design concepts, and Design for Manufacturing (specifically for 3D printing). Working knowledge of coding (Python heavily preferred) and software architecture (file structures, IDEs) to assist in building digital prototypes. High proficiency in leveraging AI for complex problem-solving, code generation, tool development, and error identification.
Preferred:
Computer Science / Software Engineering minor Hands-on expertise with FDM 3D printers, filament properties, and supplemental printing technologies. Leadership of projects and products created to solve real-world problems.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$65,000 - $85,000
Location:
Auburn, AL (Full-time On-site. No hybrid/remote options).

Note:
