Position Overview Mantis Ag Technology is seeking an experienced and driven Mechatronics Program Manager to lead the development and execution of complex mechatronic systems across our product portfolio. This role will oversee cross-functional programs that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, ensuring successful delivery from concept through commercialization. The Mechatronics Program Manager will play a critical leadership role in aligning engineering efforts with business objectives while driving timelines, managing resources, and mitigating risks. This position reports directly to the General Manager and will have a significant impact on the direction and success of our technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end program management for mechatronic product development initiatives Coordinate cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and field operations Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets Drive execution to meet milestones, deliverables, and performance targets Identify and mitigate technical and program risks proactively Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering, leadership, and external partners Collaborate with product and field teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements Ensure successful system integration, testing, and validation of mechatronic solutions Support continuous improvement of program management processes and best practices
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of program or project management experience in a hardware/software integrated environment Strong understanding of mechatronic systems, including mechanical design, electronics, and embedded software Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering projects Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred:
Advanced degree (MS or MBA) Experience in agricultural technology, robotics, or automation systems Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) and agile development methodologies PMP or similar certification
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$150,000 - $175,000 annually, depending on experience Eligible for annual bonus Company-provided truck Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Opportunity to work on cutting-edge agricultural technology with real-world impact Work Environment This role is based in Gonzales, CA, and involves collaboration across office, lab, and field environments.
