Job Description

Cad Operator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Key Responsibilities Maintain and support shop digital twins , including: Performing laser scans Converting point cloud data Creating and maintaining Navisworks study files Supporting engineer and vendor access to digital data Maintain and update equipment 3D libraries , including: OEM model integration Scanning existing equipment Updating models following equipment modifications Support AR/VR integration into engineering workflows: Configure and prepare 3D files Load and deploy files to AR/VR headsets Support field trials and working group activities Facilitate CAD support requests , including intake, organization, prioritization, and execution Lead local troubleshooting and issue escalation for digital engineering systems Support cross-shop data and technology adoption initiatives Collaborate with SMEs on process efficiency improvement investigations Maintain and manage: 2D shop layouts X-references Kamishibai and related engineering drawings Work closely with internal and external groups across Toyota, including: Production Engineering teams Manufacturing plants Equipment vendors North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs) Corporate and support divisions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering Technology or related field OR 2-3 years of equivalent technical or professional experience Proficiency with Autodesk products , including: AutoCAD (dynamic blocks) Autodesk Vault Proficiency with Dassault Systems CATIA Proficiency with 3D modeling tools , such as: SolidWorks Inventor Revit Experience with laser scanning hardware and software Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Experience with project coordination, status reporting, and task tracking Willingness to work overtime (up to 25%) Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Preferred Qualifications Automotive or manufacturing industry experience Experience with: Navisworks Digital twin environments AR/VR engineering applications 3D printing Exposure to: Cintoo Carrot 3 Robot simulation tools Experience supporting cross-functional engineering teams in a production environment
