Mission :
The VAA Engineer position is responsible for supporting all the OHS programs in North American territory. The position is project based but plant support will required between all the plants within the NAFTA region.
Responsibilities:
Develop specifications for new assembly equipment based on customer requriements Perform design reviews with prospective equipment suppliers, compare quotations and make nomination recommendations Create MTM studies and optimize assembly flow Participate in APQP Team as Process Engineering representative. Review process for material-handling reduction, operator efficiency improvements, making recommendations, and implementing upon approval. Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals. Develop and implement new production equipment to improve quality of product, improve efficiency and reduce scrap. Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling. Formulate, update, and enter recipes into production control software. Conduct capacity studies. Develop Internal Quotations for new processes as needed. Completes other job related tasks as assigned What we are looking for: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering At least 5 years of engineering in automotive or related field Professional and effective communication and representation skills. Ability to sit, stand and have mobility to move around the office or manufacturing environment, when needed. Ability to conduct computer work or engage in discussion with employees.
