Job Description

Introduction Our Client is seeking a Project Engineer to support a range of engineering projects at an active site. This role provides technical expertise, project coordination, and support across construction, expansion, and modification projects. You will work closely with site teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions. What are you going to do
Key Responsibilities:
Review engineering projects and provide technical recommendations Support or lead small to mid-size construction, expansion, or modification projects Act as a Project Manager or technical lead where required Manage and administer vendor and contractor agreements Provide guidance to site leadership on engineering processes and regulatory requirements Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Contribute to site planning, budgeting, and improvement initiatives Participate in internal committees or working groups (e.g., operations or refinery teams) Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards and best practices

Works closely with internal teams and interacts with external vendors/contractors

Operates under regular supervision with limited decision-making authority

Supports budget tracking and preparation

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, including project-based work Understanding of project engineering and project management principles Demonstrated technical and/or operational experience Proficiency in MS Office and engineering tools (e.g., CAD, analytical or mapping software)
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendations Knowledge of engineering standards, practices, and safety requirements Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams Strong awareness of workplace safety and hazard identification
Preferred Experience:
Background in metal mining operations Experience with geotechnical, structural, earthworks, or concrete projects Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or GoldSim Programming experience is a plus Read more
