Senior Mine Water Management Engineer Denver, CO A leading engineering and environmental services firm is seeking a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in mine water management, water resources, and hydrogeology. Based in Denver, CO, you'll serve as a technical leader and client-facing advisor, driving mine water strategies from early planning through design, construction, and closure within a collaborative, employee-owned culture. What You'll Do Lead mine water management planning, including water balance development, surface water/groundwater interaction, water quality, treatment, and reuse strategies. Serve as a senior technical advisor to mining clients and support business development, proposals, and pursuit strategies. Manage or lead projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and financial performance. Direct hydrologic, hydraulic, and hydrogeologic analyses, including risk-informed and probabilistic assessments. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to deliver integrated, constructable solutions across design-build and EPC delivery models. Mentor junior and mid-career engineers and contribute to growing the firm's mine water capabilities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline. PE license required. 11+ years of progressive experience in mine water management, water resources, or hydrogeology on mining projects. Proven expertise in mine water balances, surface/groundwater modeling, and hydrologic data interpretation. Track record of project delivery with accountability for scope, budget, and financial performance. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Preferred Master's degree in a relevant discipline; PG licensure a plus. Experience with GoldSim, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MODFLOW, or similar tools. Background in mine closure planning, tailings water management, or long-term water stewardship.
