Job Description
This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Senior Consultant, Geotechnical Engineer ! This position is open to our Orlando, FL office. Be involved in projects with our Transportation & Infrastructure Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of field/site work and laboratory testing Prepare geotechnical data reports Proven experience in Florida area geotechnical practice and geology Proven experience with FDOT, Design Build projects, Transportation, and Dam/Levees Willing to support field logging and/or field observation Prepare geotechnical calculations and conduct modeling, including slope stability, seepage and consolidation analyses Prepare geotechnical recommendations reports with senior review Assist with writing reports, cost estimating and permit documents Assist with the preparation of project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering, or closely related discipline. 5+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior geotechnical design experience. Florida PE registration Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with excellent analytical abilities, leadership ability, and a positive attitude Ability to work both independently and within groups Competence in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is necessary Familiarity with discipline-specific design software - GeoStudio (SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SIGMA/W, &QUAKE), LPILE, GROUP ,
FBDEEP, MSEW, PLAXIS, DeepEX, CAD:
AutoCAD, MicroStation Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with Florida Geology and local market Master's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering Transportation Experience as design or field/lab exploration and recommendations #LI-AC1Similar remote jobs
