Position Summary Brock Civil is seeking a Jr. Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of site development projects. This is an early-career, full-time role designed for individuals who are ready to contribute to active projects while developing the technical and operational skills required to advance into Project Management. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimating teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of construction operations while taking ownership of key project functions. Duties and Responsibilities Project Coordination & Execution Support day-to-day project operations in alignment with Brock-Civil's "Plan / Protect / Produce" philosophy Assist in scheduling materials, subcontractors, labor, and equipment Coordinate with field teams to ensure efficient execution of work Estimating & Preconstruction Support Perform material takeoffs and assist with quantity verification Review subcontractor proposals, bid packages, and scope sheets Support evaluation of subcontractors through reference checks and comparisons Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate daily project documentation, including diaries, photos, and as-builts Assist with project tracking, reporting, and communication of work plans Support monthly invoicing and cost tracking processes Project Controls & Change Management Assist in maintaining project schedules and identifying potential risks Support change order management and documentation Ensure project records are organized, accurate, and up to date Technology & Continuous Improvement Utilize and develop proficiency in construction software, including Agtek, Bluebeam, Bid2Win, and similar tools Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field 0-2 years of experience in construction, site development, or related field; internship experience considered Any combination of equivalent education and work experience will be considered Attention to detail; everything from the estimates, unit costs, and proposals must be accurate Refined organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with, or ability to learn, Agtek, Bluebeam Take-off Software, and Bid2Win Exposure to civil/sitework projects preferred Competencies Required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Analytical and problem-solving mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn construction-specific software Strong work ethic with a willingness to take initiative and grow Specific Requirements of the Position Ability to work both in office and field environments Ability to travel to project sites as needed Commitment to safety standards and jobsite protocols Why You'll Love Working Here You will have the opportunity to support and work with a growing Estimating Team and company in a true learning and mentoring environment.
