Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled mine permit technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, evaluating, overseeing, and completing mine design projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. This role involves providing technical expertise and leading project teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in mining and design. Responsibilities Design, evaluate, and optimize short-term and long-term mine plans, including open-pit and/or underground operations. Conduct geological and geotechnical assessments in coordination with geologists and survey teams. Perform feasibility studies, reserve estimations, and cost-benefit analyses for new and existing operations. Monitor daily mining activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and adherence to planned schedules. Prepare technical reports, maps, and schematics using mining software (e.g., IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, and SedCAD). Support permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements. Collaborate with operations, safety, and environmental teams to ensure mine designs meet all performance, safety, and sustainability goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mining Technology or related field. Willingness to work in a mine site environment with variable conditions. 3-7 years of mine permit experience in surface or underground mining operations. Proficient in mine planning and modeling software (e.g., IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, and SedCAD). Strong understanding of
MSHA/OSHA
regulations and environmental standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
