Position OverviewThe organization is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects involving investigation, remediation, compliance, and restoration efforts. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience working within regulated environments.
The selected candidate will oversee multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from early planning through execution and closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead large and complex environmental projects, including site investigations, remediation activities, and regulatory compliance programsManage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, reporting, and completionPrepare and review technical deliverables such as work plans, reports, cost estimates, and schedulesOversee budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and internal project teamsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and project managersEnsure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and safety requirementsMaintain adherence to internal quality assurance and quality control standardsAct as the primary liaison with clients and stakeholdersSupport business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client engagementDrive strong project performance and foster long-term client relationshipsQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, or a related disciplineProfessional licensure (e.g., PE or PG) preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plusAt least 8 years of experience managing federal environmental projects, particularly those involving investigation, remediation, compliance, or restorationExperience working under structured contracting mechanisms or multi-project programs is preferredDemonstrated ability to manage project financials, schedules, and multidisciplinary teamsFamiliarity with environmental regulatory frameworks and safety standardsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel as needed and work at project sitesAdditional InformationTravel is expected to be approximately 20-30%Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications
