Geotechnical Project Engineer Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both field and office work and is passionate about soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and construction support. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical investigations, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage geotechnical field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and testing Log soil and rock samples and oversee laboratory testing programs Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and earthwork Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and design recommendations Provide construction-phase services, including site observations and issue resolution Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field 2-7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering (experience level flexible) EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical testing methods Experience with geotechnical software is a plus Reach out to josh.vaughan@gogpac.com with questions and to send your resume
