Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a qualified NDT Inspector at the Level II or Level III certification for our aircraft wheel and brake repair shop. In this role, you will perform non-destructive testing on aircraft wheel and brake assemblies to ensure airworthiness and compliance with applicable regulations, OEM specifications, and customer requirements. This is a hands-on position with direct impact on flight safety. Responsibilities Perform fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and eddy current testing on wheel halves, brake housings, torque tubes, heat sinks, and associated components Interpret and evaluate test results against applicable standards (OEM CMMs, FAA AC 65-15, and AS/NAS specifications) Prepare, maintain, and calibrate NDT equipment; maintain inspection records in compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements Write, review, and approve NDT procedures and work instructions (Level III)Mentor and provide on-the-job guidance to Level I and Level II technicians Support internal and external audits (FAA, customer, NADCAP if applicable) Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to all FOD prevention and hazmat handling protocols Required Skills ASNT Level II or Level III certification in PT (Penetrant Testing) and ET (Eddy Current Testing) per SNT-TC-1A or NAS 410 Minimum 3 years of NDT experience in an aerospace or aviation MRO environment Familiarity with
FAA 14 CFR
Part 145 repair station requirements Ability to read and interpret OEM component maintenance manuals (CMMs) and engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to aviation safety standards Preferred Experience Prior experience with aircraft wheel and brake components (Honeywell, Safran, Parker, UTC) NADCAP accreditation experience Additional Level II/III methods (MT, UT, RT) are a plus FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licensePay:
