Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT Level II/III), mechanical laboratory testing, and dimensional inspection within an OEM manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for ensuring product quality, compliance with engineering standards, and execution of advanced inspection and testing activities to support production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and supervise NDT inspections (UT, RT, MT, PT as applicable) in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications. Interpret inspection results, prepare reports, and ensure proper documentation and traceability. Conduct mechanical testing of materials and components, including tensile, hardness, impact, and other destructive testing methods. Carry out dimensional inspections using precision instruments such as CMM, vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges as per engineering drawings. Ensure compliance with OEM quality requirements, internal quality systems, and industry standards (ISO/ASME/ASTM or applicable). Support root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with production, engineering, and supplier quality teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain calibration records, inspection reports, and quality documentation. Lead or support audits (internal, customer, and third-party) when required. Train and guide junior inspectors and technicians in quality procedures and inspection methods.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, NDT, mechanical testing, or dimensional inspection. Valid certification in NDT Level II or Level III (preferred depending on role responsibility). Strong knowledge of mechanical testing standards and inspection techniques. Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and CMM operations. Experience working in OEM or high-precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T. Good documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
