Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Inspection Trainee in Paradise, Newfoundland will assist Operators in the inspection and repair of used tubular goods and is responsible for pipe handling, cleaning and inspection and repair of used tubular goods, including drill pipe. This position is classified as safety sensitive, and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment testing. The hourly rate for this position is $18 - $19 based on experience and qualification
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assisting Operators in the utilization of Wellhead Isolog, Wellchek, and Classifax Sonoscope Isolog units. Thread inspection Magnetic Particle Inspection Cleaning and repair of pipe threads Drifting and sorting of tubulars Removal and application of thread compounds Coupling removal and replacement Equipment set up and tear down Unit calibration Basic unit maintenance General housekeeping and shop cleanup Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements Participate in training programs as required by the company All other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
High school education with the ability to read, write and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties Class 5 Driver's License in good standing Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred

Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred
HSE Requirements:
Work is performed in a shop and yard environment. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and changes of temperature/humidity.
Physical requirements:
squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 23 kilograms, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment.
