In this position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough emissions inspections on various vehicle types, utilizing advanced testing equipment and adhering to strict regulatory guidelines. Your expertise will help promote cleaner transportation solutions and uphold safety standards across the fleet. This is an exciting opportunity for detail-oriented professionals passionate about environmental sustainability and mechanical precision to make a tangible impact. Duties Perform comprehensive emissions testing on vehicles using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components related to emissions, including exhaust systems, catalytic converters, and related mechanical parts. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards to accurately assess vehicle systems and identify potential issues. Collect and analyze data from tests to verify emission levels, documenting findings meticulously for quality control and quality assurance purposes. Apply non-destructive testing methods and hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other precision instruments to evaluate mechanical integrity. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify root causes of emission-related problems and recommend corrective actions aligned with industry standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and maintenance activities to support ongoing quality inspection processes and compliance audits. Experience Proven experience in vehicle inspection or quality control within manufacturing or automotive environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in assembly processes, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools. Experience working with surface mount technology (SMT) components is a plus, especially in electronics-related inspections. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical testing and safety protocols. Skilled in data collection, analysis skills, and reporting findings clearly and accurately. Familiarity with non-destructive testing techniques such as ultrasonic or magnetic particle inspection is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
