For your initial job responsibilities, we will challenge you to: In the first 90 days, you will prevail over the following: Have a solid understanding of plan reading, structural steel details, and applicable welding codes (including
AWS D1.1
). Demonstrate the ability to review WPSs, welder qualifications (WQTRs), and project specifications for compliance. Perform visual welding inspections, verify fit-up and joint preparation, and document findings in accordance with project requirements. Become familiar with DC Inspections reporting procedures and client expectations through coordination with senior inspectors and project managers. Following the initial 90-day period: Demonstrate independence in performing welding inspections and reporting. Effectively communicate with contractors, engineers, and clients in the field. Maintain accurate, timely, and defensible inspection reports. Pursue additional certifications (ICC, NDT methods, etc.) to expand inspection capabilities.
