Job Title:
NDT Technician II (Aerospace MRO) Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented NDT Technician II to support inspection activities within an aerospace maintenance and overhaul environment. This role focuses on verifying the integrity of critical helicopter components using nondestructive testing methods, with a strong emphasis on magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspections. You will play a key role in ensuring components meet strict aviation safety and quality standards. Core Responsibilities Conduct nondestructive inspections using MT (Magnetic Particle) and PT (Liquid Penetrant) methods on aircraft structures and mechanical components Evaluate inspection results against applicable codes, procedures, and regulatory standards to determine part acceptance or rejection Record and maintain accurate inspection data, ensuring traceability and compliance with documentation requirements Support maintenance and overhaul operations by providing timely inspection feedback to engineering, production, and quality teams Ensure all work aligns with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and internal quality procedures Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate calibration to maintain inspection accuracy Assist with additional inspection methods such as Eddy Current (ET) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) when required Work collaboratively with multiple departments including hangar operations, engine shops, and component repair teams Follow direction from Level III NDT personnel and adhere to established testing procedures Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements and providing feedback Required Qualifications Documented hands-on experience in NDT, including: At least 400 hours and formal training in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) At least 530 hours and formal training in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Ability to obtain and maintain NAS-410 Level II certification in MT and PT within a short onboarding period Practical experience performing MT and PT inspections in aerospace, MRO, or other high-reliability industries Strong ability to interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria Experience maintaining clear, detailed inspection reports and records Solid understanding of quality assurance and NDT fundamentals Valid driver's license with flexibility for occasional travel as needed Eligibility to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person status) Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills Ability to consistently follow procedures, technical instructions, and compliance standards Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with NADCAP accreditation requirements Knowledge of
AS9100 / AS9110
