The NDT Specialist I is a hands-on position, reporting to the Quality Supervisor, and will be an integral Quality team member. The technician will help maximize production output, drive continuous manufacturing process improvements, assist with new product introductions, and assure the effective utilization of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery expectations.Essential Functions:
Document in-process inspections and work with inspection department to ensure all requirements are met.Communicates with co-workers, colleagues and Supervisors to receive instructions and/or guidance and coordinate activities.
Organize and maintain daily requirements.
Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet customer requirements.
Assist in the interpretation of quality data, conduct research on product defects, and recommend modification in process requirements where such appear to be warranted.
Perform cleaning operations within a class 10K clean room environment. Maintain gage calibration records and interface with employees and outside calibration services as needed and directed by the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager. Perform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related dataHigh School Degree or G.E.D required1 year of experience in Non-Destructive Testing Desired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to process parts and maintain all applicable specifications, calibrations, and daily requirements. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.Ability to read and understand engineering work instructions. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
