#NDETech #AerospaceJobs #NDTJobs Responsibilities- Perform nondestructive testing and metallurgical inspection processing on aircraft engine components in development, production, and repair environments.
- Execute inspections using approved NDT methods such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Eddy Current Inspection (ECI), Etch, Visual Inspection, and other applicable techniques.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust inspection equipment and testing media to ensure valid and repeatable results.
- Work from detailed procedures, technique sheets, work instructions, and verbal direction to complete nondestructive inspections and required documentation.
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain inspection and process records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Identify recurring inspection or process issues and recommend improvements to methods, equipment, or procedures.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions or deficiencies and initiate repair or replacement activities as needed.
- Work with and assist certified Level II and Level III NDT personnel in the identification, evaluation, and disposition of non-conformances.
- Support process tryouts, new equipment qualification, and special inspection assignments within the scope of the role.
- Perform routine area housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safety checks in compliance with site and environmental standards. Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Experience in nondestructive testing, quality inspection, or manufacturing inspection environments.
- Ability to maintain NDT certification (Level I or Level II). Active or previous NDT certifications (ASNT Level I or Level II) in one or more NDT disciplines is preferred.
- Prior aerospace manufacturing or aircraft engine inspection experience is preferred
- Experience working in regulated environments with strong quality and safety requirements is a plus Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal technical instructions.
- Basic knowledge of NDT methods and inspection equipment.
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. person status, in compliance with government contract requirements.
- Willingness to work onsite and assigned shift schedules.
- Familiarity with defect recognition, dispositioning, and quality documentation systems is a plus.
