This individual will serve as the technical authority for immersion ultrasonic inspection activities, including scan plan development, system programming, validation, customer interactions, and compliance with NAS 410 and customer-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive aerospace NDT experience, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, OEMs, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for immersion ultrasonic inspection operations. Develop, review, and approve scan plans, inspection techniques, and inspection strategies. Program, maintain, and support immersion ultrasonic systems, including IRT and Matec platforms. Perform and oversee calibrations, system verifications, and equipment performance evaluations. Lead new part introduction, validation, and first-article inspection activities. Develop, revise, review, and approve inspection procedures in accordance with NAS 410, customer specifications, and company requirements. Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Level I and Level II NDT personnel. Support customer and OEM submissions through designated portals and direct technical communications. Participate in customer audits, technical reviews, and project meetings as required. Ensure compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. Required Qualifications Current or previously held NAS 410 Level III Certification in Immersion Ultrasonic Testing (IUT). Extensive experience with immersion ultrasonic inspection methods and aerospace components. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with customers, OEMs, and cross-functional teams. Flexibility to support operational and customer-driven schedules. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IRT and Matec immersion ultrasonic scanning systems. Experience supporting major aerospace OEMs, including: Pratt & Whitney General Electric (GE Aerospace) Rolls-Royce Experience with new part introduction (NPI), validation, and qualification activities. Familiarity with OEM submission portals and direct OEM technical communication processes.
