Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise non-destructive testing procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of various components and assemblies. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of safety, quality control, and compliance with industry codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while honing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, and eddy current inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies. Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and inspection criteria to accurately assess component integrity. Perform NAS 410 non-destructive testing and determine product acceptability within certification limits Document, evaluate, and report NDT inspection results accurately and timely Ensure compliance with radiation safety rules and procedures Maintain NDT equipment, calibration, and inventory control Conduct exposure room safety checks and complete required radiation logs Support workload coordination, assist other technicians, and provide technical guidance as needed Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments to perform detailed inspections. Maintain thorough documentation of inspection results, data collection records, and test reports for quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify defects or deviations from specifications and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards as well as internal quality control protocols during all testing procedures. Assist in training new team members on NDT techniques and quality inspection processes. Skills Strong knowledge of surface mount technology and assembly processes within manufacturing environments. Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other precision instruments. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in quality control and quality assurance practices. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and industry standards like ASME codes & standards. Excellent analysis skills to interpret test data accurately and identify potential issues promptly. Experience with data collection systems and documenting inspection results meticulously. Ability to perform non-destructive testing techniques effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
