We are seeking an NDT Level II Inspector - Liquid Penetrant (PT/FPI). This role is responsible for performing all aspects of non-destructive testing (NDT) in support of the manufacturing of turbine engine components, as well as evaluating certification test samples, in accordance with NAS 410 Level II requirements. Thomasville, GA (onsite) Responsibilities:
Set up and perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using Liquid Penetrant (PT/FPI) methods in accordance with approved procedures and customer specifications
Perform inspections and interpret results in compliance with NAS 410 Level II requirements
Ensure proper use, care, and basic maintenance of PT equipment, including but not limited to penetrant systems, dwell tanks, dryers, inspection booths, spray equipment, and associated materials
Verify equipment functionality and process controls (e.g., system performance checks such as PSM-5 panels)
Conduct inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements
Accurately document inspection results and maintain required records
Serve as a technical resource to Level I inspectors and support training and on-the-job development as needed
Maintain current NAS 410 Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant (PT)
Support process improvement and assist with procedure review and qualification activities under Level III guidance
Assist in the development and improvement of NDT procedures and work instructions
Support qualification and certification activities in accordance with NAS 410 (as appropriate for Level II responsibilities)
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of three (3) years of related NDT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must meet the training, experience, and certification requirements for Level II Liquid Penetrant (PT) in accordance with NAS 410
Must hold current NAS 410 Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant (PT)
Experience with fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) methods (Type I) required
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR
regulations Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace and/or precision manufacturing environments
Experience supporting NDT special processes, including fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and related chemical processing operations
Experience working within quality management systems (QMS), including AS9100 and NADCAP-accredited environments
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Proficient in standard computer applications and inspection/reporting systems Working Conditions Must be able to pass an eye exam on an annual basis
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear
Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
