JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma OR HSE Previous experience utilizing hand measurement gages such as mics, verniers, bore gages, calipers, height gages, and indicators. One year of experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with simple machine and tool operations Understand how to identify and effectively use a variety of power and hand tools. Read, understand and utilize procedures, detailed computerized build plans, and basic mathematical calculations. Ability to perform precise and detailed work. Communicate effectively and professionally with others within the team. Follow and promote safe work practices. Demonstrated ability to participate in a team environment. This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. Desirable characteristics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to read, understand, and utilize procedures, sketches, and blueprints as well as perform basic mathematical calculations. Willingness to learn other production jobs
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • CMM experience
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure specifications are met
  • Document applicable calibration inspection results.
  • Perform specific inspections and calibrations according to written instructions.
  • Designate appropriate inspection methods and techniques.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems problems.
  • Perform functional, mechanical and visual inspection.
  • Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment used in the work area including reference material.
  • Understand the relevance and importance of inspection activities and how they contribute to the delivery of defect free products.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results with respect to applicable codes, specifications and standards.
  • Establish and perform preventative maintenance procedures for inspection equipment.
  • Perform periodic work reviews and audits to ensure compliance to the system requirements.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings and ensure specifications are being met.
  • Develop consistent/logical feature labels and structured reports for data retrieval and ease of interpretation of inspection results.
