NDT Technician•Level I to
Level II Location:
Alma, MI Pay:
$25•$30+ per hour (depending on experience)
Shift:
Monday•Friday, 6:00 AM•4:30 PM Position Summary of the
NDT Technician:
Seeking an NDT Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and quality inspections on military defense equipment, fabricated steel components, and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment. This position will support quality and production teams by conducting inspections utilizing methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). Position Responsibilities of the
NDT Technician:
Perform Non-Destructive Testing inspections on military defense equipment and fabricated steel components Conduct inspections utilizing MT, PT, VT, and/or UT methods Inspect welds, fabricated parts, and assemblies for defects, discontinuities, and quality concerns Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and inspection documentation Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records Ensure compliance with AWS, API, and company quality standards Work closely with welding, fabrication, engineering, and production teams Inspect a wide variety of projects including defense, marine, and industrial subassemblies Support quality initiatives and assist with additional inspection-related tasks as needed Must-Have Attributes of the
NDT Technician:
NDT Level I or Level II experience preferred Experience performing MT, PT, VT, and/or UT inspections Welding or fabrication background strongly preferred CWI certification is a plus Ability to read blueprints and understand weld inspection requirements Strong attention to detail and communication skills Basic computer skills and documentation experience preferred Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
