Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct various NDT inspections on aerospace components using the fluorescent dye penetrant (PT) and magnetic particle (MT) methods. Interpret and evaluate NDT results for indications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed inspection data, documenting inspection results, findings, and recommendations for further action, as applicable. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve quality-related issues, providing expertise on NDT processes and requirements. Perform routine standardization and maintenance of NDT equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of testing results. Stay current on industry advancements, techniques, and standards related to NDT inspections in the aerospace industry. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of NDT processes. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
