Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day The Siemens Energy Winston Technology Center in Rural Hall, NC is seeking an NDT Level III Engineer who brings technical authority, leadership-focused compliance, and a standards-driven, hands-on industrial approach to VT, PT, MT and RT excellence. In this role, you will lead non-destructive testing (NDT) program development and personnel certification for power generation components. This role is pivotal in advancing inspection technologies, maintaining quality standards, and supporting manufacturing and repair operations. How You'll Make an Impact Train, qualify, and certify internal NDE Level I and Level II personnel across various fields. Develop and implement inspection techniques, procedures, and documentation. Present inspection results and development findings to engineering and management teams. Investigate and resolve quality issues in new and repaired components. Support failure analysis and corrective action implementation. Conduct Probability of Detection (POD) studies to assess inspection performance. Work independently and proactively to identify and implement improvement opportunities. What You Bring Associate's degree in engineering or related field (higher degree preferred; experience may substitute). Current ASNT Level III certification in Radiography Testing (RT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Mag particle Testing (MT), and Visual Testing (VT). Experience in other NDE techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy current Testing (ET), and Infrared (IR) preferred. Deep understanding of NDE standards, procedures, and certification requirements. Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience inspecting sophisticated components (e.g., forgings, castings). Strong proven understanding of fabrication, welding, and inspection codes. Experience in nuclear, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing preferred Familiarity with Six Sigma, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis. Proficiency in project management and IT tools; programming skills a plus. Business fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Minimum 7 years of proven experience. Candidates with experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
