Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing company in the Claremore area, is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join their team. This role is responsible for performing inspections and testing throughout the production process to ensure all products meet required quality standards.
Hours:
Friday-Sunday 6a-6:30p
Pay:
$30-$35/hr + $2 differential
Responsibilities:
Perform layout and dimensional checks on small parts. Conduct fit-up checks before welding and inspect final welds/repairs. Maintain accurate testing documentation and inspection reports. Recommend improvements to product quality, design, or processes. Participate in vendor evaluations and investigate quality issues. Stay current with applicable welding codes and inspection practices.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certificate and valid visual acuity exam.
Preferred:
CWI certification to
AWS D1.1
welding code. 2-5 years of inspection experience OR 5-10 years of fit/weld experience with a new CWI certification.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. PPE required (ear protection, steel toe boots, safety glasses). Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
