Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing Nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections during the disassembly and repair process.
This is a Weekend position:
Friday - Sunday 6:30am - 7:00 pm.
What You Will Do:
Aid in the process of performing non-destructive testing by one or more of the following methods; Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Immersion Ultrasonic, and/or Eddy Current. Assist with selecting, preparing, loading, calibrating, or operating equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials. Documenting work performed and results found on product travelers. Perform daily walk-around and maintain cleanliness of equipment and inspection area. Complete classroom theory, on the job training, and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

NDT experience and/or NDT Level 1 certification, preferably in Ultrasonic or Eddy Current (ET). Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment and proficiency with quality procedures. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and SAP. P/A&P/Repairman License preferred.

Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. Pratt & Whitney Columbus, GA is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
