Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Weld Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of weld quality and compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will help maintain product integrity, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced inspection tools and quality systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough weld inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensional accuracy and weld integrity. Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welded components ( as Needed ) to detect defects or inconsistencies. Utilize quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, regulations to document inspection results accurately. Support quality audits by preparing reports, analyzing data collected during inspections, and identifying areas for process improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, ensuring compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and other regulatory standards. Assist in root cause analysis for weld defects or failures and implement corrective actions in accordance with QA/QC protocols. Participate in calibration of inspection equipment and maintain calibration records to ensure measurement accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving welding or metal fabrication. Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection techniques, and relevant standards such as ISO. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines. Familiarity with quality systems documentation, data collection methods, and conducting quality audits. Excellent analysis skills to interpret inspection data and identify trends or issues affecting weld quality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and working effectively with cross-functional teams. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
