Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for inspecting product quality to ensure conformity to all customer requirements using non-destructive testing methods which includes Magnetic Particle Inspections and Liquid Penetrant Inspections.RESPONSIBILITIES
Using the required accept and reject criteria, properly inspect using the proper NDT method Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions and report non-conforming material per instructions Ensure use of calibrated equipment Clean parts before and after the NDT process Complete and maintain necessary paperwork as required including production logs, daily systems checks, technique sheets, etc. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures Perform all other duties, as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS
Meet inspector requirements for vision acuity (Near Vision and Color Perception) Qualify per NAS -410 and meet applicable examination requirements and periodic assessments Must be able to read and understand how to properly use applicable measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, light meters, timers, pressure gages, etc. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints or drawings Must be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and lift to perform repetitive movements Must be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistance Ability to adhere to safety policies Must have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions) Must be able to work overtime as neededEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
