Quality Systems Manger GENERAL:
In this role you will inspect parts against customer specifications and/or purchase order to ensure quality parameters are adhered to.
Job qualifications:
Education - High school education or equivalent Preferred but not required - 1 to 3 years' experience as metal parts inspector, or working in the heat treat industry Working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology preferred but not required Be detail oriented towards all job functions May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Specific Duties:
Fully understand, comply and promote the Quality Systems Management and Mission Statement within Q-Tech Heat Treat, LLC. Accurately perform hardness and other material testing and record results as required Perform calibration of all testing equipment accurately and on schedule Responsible for all inspection tools, gauges, equipment in assigned inspection area/s Utilize Maintenance Work Request to report need for repair/s when applicable Fully comprehend customer and/or Government requirements applicable to materials processed and P.O.'s adherence to Aerospace Material Specifications ie. AMS-6875, AMS-2759, etc. Promote safety and good housekeeping practices This position will allow for cross training and development of additional skills Conduct Metallurgical Testing when required upon completion of training This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following: Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform required job functions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity and other industrial environments
